The best-selling phone of the last three months is neither Samsung nor Xiaomi

 


40% of Apple's global volume during this period was iPhone 11 while iPhone SE 28%. It is the fourth quarter in a row that the iPhone 11 holds the first place.

The two best-selling smartphones in the third quarter were iPhones, according to data from analyst firm Canalys. In the list of 10 best-selling phones are also 5 Samsung models and 3 Xiaomi.

None of them could get close to the iPhone 11 which is miles ahead of the competition with 16 million units sold. In second place comes the iPhone SE with nearly 10 million units. Recall that the SE is the cheapest iPhone model on sale.

In third place is Samsung's Galaxy A21s which is almost equal to the iPhone SE closely followed by the Galaxy A11. In fact the only Samsung phones that enter among the best sellers are budget models of the Galaxy A line. The most expensive model is the Galaxy A51 with nearly 8 million units sold.

Even in the case of Xiaomi the best-selling phones are budget-friendly like the Redmi Note 9 with over 6 million units sold, or the Redmi 9 and Redmi 9A with just under 6 million units sold.

No 5G phone has entered the list of 10 best-selling phones of this period July-September.
