Fortnite players will be able to communicate via video during the game

It is available from today but only on PC, PS4 and PS5. The option relies on Houseparty, a communication app that Epic bought last September.

You will soon be able to see your friends while playing Fortnite together. Epic has added a new video communication option where players can see their friends inside the game.

It is available from today but only on PC, PS4 and PS5. The option relies on Houseparty, a communication app that Epic bought last September.

To use it you need to link Epic and Houseparty accounts together. After this procedure you need to activate Fortnite Mode in the application. You can then create a party with their friends and livefeeds who will appear on the left side of the screen while you play the game.

You can create parties with up to 10 people although only 4 will appear on Fortnite. But it will take some hardware for things to work. Compare the game on PC and PlayStation, you must have Houseparty installed and running on iOS or Android to serve as camera.

It may seem irritating to you, but according to Epic Fortnite players and Houseparty users are already doing just that. What Fortnite is doing is making it simpler.
