New Samsung phones will automatically block fraudulent calls

The option will initially be available on Galaxy Note 20 models and should reach all Samsung phones from 2021 onwards.

With Samsung tan phones it will be easier to avoid robotic calls. The company has entered into a partnership with Hiya to automatically block spam calls through the Smart Call option.

For this Samsung will use Hiya technology. To activate the option you need to visit Call Settings and activate Caller ID and spam protection .

The option will initially be available on Galaxy Note 20 models and should reach all Samsung phones from 2021 onwards.

The agreement with Hiya is until 2025. The concept is not a novelty. Google has launched a similar feature on Pixel phones which listens to the contents of calls and blocks fraudulent calls without reaching the phone.

But given that Samsung phones are everywhere in the hands of consumers, such a move is of particular importance. Many countries in the world where the US is the leader are trying to block fraudulent and robotic calls by encouraging companies to respond as well.
