Users can use Gmail as the main email app in iOS 14

 


On the support page Google explains how users can make Gmail the main email application.

When Apple introduced iOS 14, the company said this version would allow users to utilize their favorite email and browsing app.

Google has already updated Chrome on iOS and so users of the latest version can default to Chrome as the primary browser.

Today the company released version 6.0.2000825 of the Gmail application with the same feature. On the support page Google explains how users can make Gmail the main email application.

If you've been a Gmail app user in the past, most likely clicked links from Chrome have been opened in Gmail but this time will apply to any other app or browser that attempts to open or send email.
