One of the most popular games returns to Twitch

Despite Microsoft securing him a fat contract, the company's service could not keep up with Twitch, Facebook Gaming or YouTube Gaming.

Tyler "Ninja" Blevins is back on Twitch. He signed a multi-year contract with the platform where he made a name for himself and his first broadcast starts today.

He said he thought long and hard about which platform to choose after Microsoft decided to shut down Mixer and concluded that Twitch is the best platform where he too started his journey.

Ninja started broadcasting on Twitch a decade ago and built a large community there but left in August 2019 to go to Mixer.

Despite Microsoft securing him a fat contract, the company's service could not keep up with Twitch, Facebook Gaming or YouTube Gaming.

The company decided to shut down Mixer in July. So Ninja became a free agent and several times asked the community where it was best to switch to Twitch or YouTube.

He is a real star with 15 million followers on Twitch and 24 million YouTube subscribers. Blevins was the first gamer to have his Fortnite outfit soon to have one in Fall Guys.

His return to Twitch is big news and will most likely help the service maintain dominance in the sector.
